How to choose a detailer or valeter in Aberdeen

Questions worth asking before you book

• Fixed premises or mobile, and if mobile, does the detailer bring their own water and power, or do they need yours?
• Is the quote for a wash and protect, or does it include machine paint correction first? A coating or sealant over unclipped swirls will not look any better than the paintwork underneath.
• For a hand car wash site: is it walk-in, or do you need to book ahead, and does the wash-and-valet menu go beyond a basic clean if that's what you need?
• A handful of listings here rest on a single online listing rather than the business's own website, or have no confirmed street address at all: AA Hand Car Valeting and Abersheen Valeting and Detailing are both recorded from search results only, so ring first and confirm what's included and what it costs before booking. Granite Gleam Valeting in Cove currently trades under that name from an address and phone number previously used by two other named businesses; check you have the current name before you go.
• If you're in Rosemount & Old Aberdeen, Westhill or Stonehaven, where confirmed choice is thin, ask a mobile operator based elsewhere in the city whether they cover your postcode before ruling out a wider search.
