How to choose a detailer or valeter in Durham and Chester-le-Street

Longer trading histories: Stanley Hand Car Wash, Detailing and Valeting Centre has traded since 2004, Kristal Clear Mobile Valeting since 2008, Princes Valeting & Detailing Services since 2009 and Concept Auto Detailing since 2019.

Questions worth asking before you book

Is this a dedicated studio, a valeting unit, a garage that also valets, or a mobile operator, and does that match what you want done?
If it's mobile, and most businesses here are: does the valeter bring their own water and power, and do they cover your exact postcode?

Ring first to check the business is still trading at the address given, especially for the 13 businesses whose details are from search results only rather than the business's own site: Sparkle & Shine, Angel Valets, Durham Valeting Centre, Walkergate Car Wash and Valeting, Mobile Cleansing Services, Fine Shine Mobile Valeting, Dw Mobile Valeting, Andy S Mobile Valeting, Keith S Valeting Services, Pelton Garage, Consett Valeting Centre, Crystal Clear Mobile Valeting and Car & Vehicle Valeting.
OCD Vehicle Detailing and Willow Valeting trade from the same Lee's Yard estate in Birtley, one postcode digit apart; likewise Mirror Finish Detailing and Durham Valeting Centre sit on adjacent postcodes on the Dragonville Industrial Estate in Durham. Both pairs are listed as separate businesses here since neither link could be confirmed, so say which one you mean when you call.
Is the price you're quoted for a wash and protect, or does it include machine paint correction first? Correction takes longer and costs more than a wash, and a coating over unaddressed swirls will not look any better than the paint underneath.
